Day 21. #30daybloggingchallenge

What three lessons do you want your children to learn from you?

Hello, guys! Today’s post challenge was an interesting one if you ask me – because there are so many lessons I would like to pass on to my children. Choosing three most important ones for me was difficult. I was not expecting it to be this hard. Before you continue reading my article, please take a few moments and think about the question and what your answer would be (if you feel like sharing, I would love to hear your opinion).

Without further ado…

1.Speak up their mind

By no means, being humble and respectful is important, but so is speaking up your mind. Miscommunication or the lack of it leads to a lot of problems. Not speaking up their mind makes people have frustrations and not being able to make decisions for them, always following one’s lead.

If one thinks something is wrong, he should say it. If he has another opinion, he should say it. It took me a while to figure this out. I consider myself to have been partially shy if that’s even possible – haha – and I wish I realised sooner the importance of not holding back. I agree, one has to be polite at the same time, though the other’s attitude influences how we act and react.

Day 20. #30daybloggingchallenge

Post about three celebrity crushes.

When I read what I have to write about, my mind went blank. “I’ve never had celebrity crushes” immediately crossed my mind. But I had to write about something, so I sat down and thought. I got to the conclusion that although I’ve never had a celebrity crush, there are celebrities that I admire and find attractive to the point that they could become crushes.

1.Clark Gable471px-clark_gable_-_publicity

“William Clark Gable (February 1, 1901 – November 16, 1960) was an American film actor and military officer often referred to as “The King of Hollywood” or just simply as “The King”.

Gable won an Academy Award for Best Actor for It Happened One Night (1934),[2] and was nominated for leading roles in Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) and for his arguably best-known role as Rhett Butler in the epic Civil War drama Gone with the Wind (1939).”

Day 19. #30daybloggingchallenge

Discuss your first love.

Ah! This is a tough one. My love life has always been a mess – I laugh saying it although it isn’t a laughing matter.

I find the “first love” subject a particularly hard one to discuss because it’s subjective – as in, my first relationship wasn’t my first love (I know, crazy right?). Then again, I am only 19, I am still wondering if I really knew love or it was just an illusion or a childish wish. Looking back on this side of my life, I do differentiate between when I was in love and when I thought I was.

My first love… hm… I was fourteen at the time. It wasn’t the type of love I would give now – but I’ve changed a lot since then – and still, I feel like it was love. Not only for that particular moment in time; yes, we sometimes think we love someone, but it’s only the moment and as soon as it passes we wake up to reality and realise it was only a wish, an urge, a “what we need” then.

It was an innocent type of love.

Yes, I know it’s hard to believe if we look around at how some teenager act. But it was innocent in every sense – holding hands, going out, talking long walks, kissing. I’ve had my first real kiss with “my first love.” Haha. I remember being so nervous, and wondering how it would feel like, and if I can do something wrong.

Day 17. #30daybloggingchallenge

Post about your zodiac sign, and whether or not it fits you.

Astrology is something not everyone believes in. My stand on the subject is not firm, but I do believe the zodiac sign we’re born in affects our lives – it influences our personality.

I am a Gemini. As far as I’ve noticed, I have the most traits that are specific to this zodiac sign. Of course, not everything that is common or stereotypical for Geminis applies to me. As it is for everyone else, personal experience counts too.

Date range: May 21 – June 20

Element: Air

Day 16. #30daybloggingchallenge

Something that you miss.

I miss reading a book.

It might sound odd, but I miss that simple act of waking up, picking up a book, and eating fruits while reading. It’s not that I didn’t have time to read, but I think that you have to be in a particular mood to enjoy a book. I don’t read just to do it or raise the number of the books I’ve read. I do it because it relaxes me, it allows me to take a break from reality.

I can’t say why but I found myself unable to get into the right mood lately, but I can’t focus enough to read. I would pick a book up, and after a few pages I would be tired and put it down.

I miss the sense of ease, the peace.

What do you miss?

Day 15. #30daybloggingchallenge

Bullet-point your whole day.

Funnily enough, making bullet-point lists to organise my day is a habit of mine. Of course, sometimes unexpected events arise and I can’t do anything about them. I go with the flow. It’s not always easy, but I’ve gotten to think that going with it is better than going against it.

  • Wake up
  • Grab breakfast
  • Design business card
  • French course
  • Grab lunch
  • Print business card
  • Talk about tutoring with someone
  • Take a quick nap
  • Grab a snack
  • Write an article
  • Yoga
  • Take a hot bath
  • Chat with friends
  • Go to sleep

It was a busy day, but not the busiest in my life since I had time to eat and take a nap. Haha. I emphasised what I considered to be the most important things today. Personally, I think it was a successful day. I managed to achieve my daily goals and that made me happy. Also, I’ve wanted to have my business card for a while now, so I was excited.
