Post about three celebrity crushes.
When I read what I have to write about, my mind went blank. “I’ve never had celebrity crushes” immediately crossed my mind. But I had to write about something, so I sat down and thought. I got to the conclusion that although I’ve never had a celebrity crush, there are celebrities that I admire and find attractive to the point that they could become crushes.
“William Clark Gable (February 1, 1901 – November 16, 1960) was an American film actor and military officer often referred to as “The King of Hollywood” or just simply as “The King”.
Gable won an Academy Award for Best Actor for It Happened One Night (1934), and was nominated for leading roles in Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) and for his arguably best-known role as Rhett Butler in the epic Civil War drama Gone with the Wind (1939).”
“Vivien Leigh (born Vivian Mary Hartley, and also known as Lady Olivier after 1947; 5 November 1913 – 8 July 1967) was an English stage and film actress. She won two Academy Awards for Best Actress for her iconic performances as Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind (1939) and Blanche DuBois in the film version of A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), a role she had also played on stage in London’s West End in 1949. She also won a Tony Award for her work in the Broadway musical version of Tovarich (1963).
She earned a reputation for being difficult to work with, and for much of her adult life she suffered from bipolar disorder as well as recurrent bouts of chronic tuberculosis, which was first diagnosed in the mid-1940s and ultimately claimed her life at the age of 53. Although her career had periods of inactivity, in 1999 the American Film Institute ranked Leigh as the 16th greatest female movie star of classic Hollywood cinema.”
“George Timothy Clooney (born May 6, 1961) is an American actor, director, producer, screenwriter, activist, businessman, and philanthropist. He has received three Golden Globe Awards for his work as an actor and two Academy Awards, one for acting in Syriana (2006) and the other for co-producing Argo (2012).
Clooney made his acting debut on television in 1978, and later gained wide recognition in his role as Dr. Doug Ross on the long-running medical drama ER from 1994 to 1999, for which he received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
In 2009, Clooney was included in Time’s annual Time 100 as one of the “Most Influential People in the World”. He is also noted for his political and economic activism, and has served as one of the United Nations Messengers of Peace since January 31, 2008.”
Did you or do you have any celebrity crushes? I would love to hear about that.
